5th Buckner Mission Man Triathlon a Success!

Last Saturday, our fifth annual Buckner Mission Man Triathlon set a new record with almost 600 individuals from 13 states registered to participate. The event was supported by 53 sponsors and was enabled by more than 150 volunteers, both records.  Church Relay Team participation reached a new high of 30 teams representing 16 different churches, 10 of which were first timers. Spectators were in abundance, cheering on their favorite racer. And, very importantly, there were no serious injuries. Everyone seemed to enjoy the race and compliments for the organization and support of volunteers were plentiful. The weather cooperated fully, being partly cloudy through most of the race. Financial results will not be known for at least a couple of weeks until all income and expenses are in. Planning will start soon for next year, so if you would like to be a part of the excitement, now is the time to get on board.
