Haiti Relief MERCI Mission Trip - March 27, 2010
On March 27th, a group of Front Street UMC members boarded one of the church's buses and headed to the MERCI Center in Goldsboro to help assemble health kits which would be shipped to Haiti. Here is Roger Jefferson's view of that trip:
"The Haiti Relief MERCI Mission trip to Goldsboro was a wonderfully rewarding and fun experience. We assembled health kits, worked in quality control, packed kits into boxes, sealed, weighed, labeled and stacked completed boxes onto pallets. Once full the pallets were wrapped in plastic and were then ready for transport. The MERCI center was filled with people of all ages joyful to be there to help our neighbors in need. When the Haitians receive health kits, in their darkest hour, I pray they see a ray of light which is Jesus Christ and in seeing Him are blessed with hope. Thanks to Mebane UMC members that joined us and all that participated. For richly rewarding experiences be involved in missions!"
Blessings, Roger Jefferson
"And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work." 2 Cor 9:8

It was the prayer of all those who traveled from Front Street that their work will help our Haitian neighbors in need and that they would receive hope and see God's love through each kit delivered. Wouldn't you like to feel that joy? If so, look for future missions trips and sign up to volunteer!
