“The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, the church is a people."

We all know the song, but what does it really mean? Starting September 1st  we will be looking in depth at what it means to be the Church, and the everyday impact it has on who we are and how we live.

September 1 ~ Everyday Participation
2 Peter 1:3-9; Luke 9:23-27
Church is not just for Sunday mornings. We are called to be church everyday of the week by participating in what God is doing in the world.

September 8 ~ Everyday Identity
1 Peter 1:13-25; Luke 3:16-22
Our baptism initiates us into the Church and bestows us with an identity that shapes our everyday lives.

September 15 ~ Everyday Differences
 1 Peter 2:9-10; Jeremiah 1:4-10
Our faith should make a difference in our lives, so much so that we cannot go a day without sharing the good news with others.

September 29 ~ Everyday Evidence
1 Peter 4:7-11; Micah 6:6-8
If we are walking everyday with God there should be evidence in the way that we live.

"...as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” ~ 1 Peter 1:15
