United Women in Faith Update
UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH UPDATE
All women of the church are invited to the April 3, 2023 meeting of UMW/UWF. A time of fellowship will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Heritage Center followed by a program at 10:30 a.m. by our own Clara Clayton. She will walk us through the mementos in the Heritage Center showcases, elaborating on the history of our church. Clara is one of the longest-serving members of our congregation.
During these days of Lent we hope all the women of UMW/UWF are feeling the power of prayer in their lives. At the March meeting focusing on Front Street’s Prayer Ministry, which was wonderfully presented by Mike Mitchell, over 100 names listed in the UMW/UWF directory were copied and placed in envelopes. Then over 40 attending members randomly selected multiple names of members to pray for during the Lenten days leading up to Easter. The goals were to “Pray twice as much as you Fret” and to “Speak half as much as you Listen.” The challenge was for each member to do this in their individual way. Join us in April in the Heritage Center for more wonderful fellowship.
