Feed Your Neighbor Sunday - August 22nd
Do you have a few extra tomatoes or cucumbers in your back yard? You’re invited on August 22nd to bring fresh fruits and vegetables from your home gardens or the local farmer’s market to our Sunday worship services to help our neighbors in need!
The Society of St. Andrew, which coordinated Gleaning Ministries, has collected and distributed fresh produce to people with limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables since 1979. Now there is an exciting new program called Feed Your Neighbor Sunday where we can glean in our own back yard or local farmer’s market! After church on the 22nd, the produce will be delivered to low-income housing, senior assisted living, or the homeless shelter.
Contact Sarah Alexander with questions. Thank you!
