In an effort to continue this ministry, we are looking at ways we at Front Street UMC can best serve this community.  During the weeks of October 5 and October 19, 2015, a small group from the church along with ABSS/ESL Educator, Carlos Valera, visited the Azalea MHP to conduct a survey for potential tutoring and English as Second Language (ESL) opportunities in their neighborhood.

The group was met with constructive feedback and positive mindsets.  We visited twenty homes in the community and plan to return to canvass neighboring communities in the coming weeks.

If you have a heart for working with children and would be interested in helping our comunity, would you please share your contact data with Joanna Strelow in the church office?  Joanna can be reached at 336-227-6263 or email joanna@frontstreetumc.org.

We are in the infancy stages of this mission and greatly appreciate your support in reaching those needing your gift of time.
