Program Philosophy

Front Street School–Age Care is a ministry of Front Street United Methodist Church.

We operate under a commitment to Christian principles that include a respect for the worth of all individuals. Staff members and students will be expected to relate in a respectful manner to each other to ensure that a safe, non-threatening environment is maintained at all times.

Front Street Afterschool is a program of care for students in grades kindergarten through five during their out-of-school time. The program is committed to providing a safe, wholesome environment, which allows each individual student to have fun and to experience growth opportunities in the areas of independence, responsibility, and decision making. Program staff seeks to partner with families in the nurture of each student. Enrichment opportunities exist both on site and through transportation to privately arranged activities.

Front Street UNDERGROUND

Front Street Underground is a program of after school care for middle school students. Students are picked up from Turrentine Middle School at 3:30 and are separate from the elementary students for study, games, etc. They are supervised by Elon University students and are transported to individual after school activities whenever possible. Hours and fees are the same as for our Afterschool program.
